Shall I look to classical Greece to determine the full intent of this image? ...at the oppression of Greek women who lived to serve, though somehow modelled after the strong-willed and immoderate Athena.
Thanks, Silva, for another thought-provoking image.
Steve, instinctively I saw a warrior goddess, as she has a helmet on her head. I couldn't remember if it was Athena until I looked up the various Greek myths. Athena gave birth to a son, {even though she is the virgin goddess} - but the form that I see coming out of her womb in this image makes me think of shadow aspects. All purely interpretive, of course.
